We are a Quilting Fabric Studio located in Kamloops, BC, offering a comprehensive selection of premium fabrics, patterns, and quilting supplies to inspire your upcoming creative endeavors. Whether you are an experienced quilter or a beginner, we cater to all skill levels. We provide flat-rate shipping across Canada, ensuring a convenient and cost-effective shopping experience. Additionally, we offer curbside pickup for customers who prefer to collect their orders personally. Our mission is to make your quilting journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible by providing exceptional products and exemplary customer service.

In February 2022, QuiltBitz was acquired and relocated from Manitoba to beautiful British Columbia, fulfilling a long-standing aspiration of mine to own a quilt shop. From a young age, I experimented with sewing, creating items using available materials without following patterns. One memorable creation was a fish crafted from bright red cord, black top thread, navy bobbin thread, and paper for stuffing. Despite its imperfections, such as mismatched sides and unaligned eyes, this piece became cherished when I discovered it among my father’s belongings after his passing.

Over the years, I have created numerous pieces of clothing, including a graduation dress worn by both my cousin and me at our respective graduations. My passion for sewing began early in life and has remained unwavering.

In December 1998, after being laid off from my corporate job, we moved to Edson, Alberta. Transitioning to the slower pace of a small town, having previously lived in larger cities, led me to discover the local quilt shop on main street. With no prior experience in quilting, I embarked on my quilting journey by purchasing fabric and a pattern for "A Trip Around the World." This marked the beginning of my enduring love for quilting and fabric collection. A dear friend and I still meet annually to quilt together.

I am fortunate to have a supportive husband who assists with shipping and receiving tasks. He organizes bolts of fabric, prepares orders, and transports packages to the post office and shelves. Since November 2023, he has taken on the primary role behind the scenes.

We meticulously select the latest releases to inspire your next creation. As the shop evolves, additional collections, bundles, kits, and patterns will be introduced. This is an ongoing process, and we value your comments and feedback.

As an experienced quilter, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and inspiration with others who wish to learn. I also enjoy learning from fellow quilters and look forward to a wonderful journey with you.
